The AIB notified the United States (US) National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the United Kingdom (UK) Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB), the Italian L’Agnezia nazionale per la sicurezza del volo (ANSV), the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) and the Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority (DCARA) on 27-10-2025 at 21:20.
Purpose
The purpose of this interim statement is to detail the progress of the investigation.
For completeness, this interim statement should be read in conjunction with the preliminary bulletin (AIB Denmark Preliminary Bulletin No. 2025-500), which was published on 2-12-2025 on the AIB website.
Progress status on the AIB safety investigation
The AIB has completed the data collection and analysis of many of the relevant parts of the investigation.
The following items are still in the process of being investigated:
- Terrain databases used for Terrain Avoidance and Warning Systems (TAWS-B) and flight planning software.
- Due to the inhospitable terrain and the prevailing weather conditions at the wreckage site, it was necessary to postpone a second recovery mission of wreckage parts until September 2026.
At the end of September 2026 further parts were recovered which could contain additional flight parameter data. At the time of this interim statement the retrieval and validation of data from the recovered parts were still in process.
