The Aviation Unit of the Danish Accident Investigation Board (AIB) was notified of the accident by the Swiss Transportation Safety Investigation Board (STSB) on 19-9-2026 at 11:29 hours (hrs).
The AIB appointed a non-travelling expert to the STSB safety investigation, as one of the fatalities was a Danish citizen.

History of flight
The aircraft departed Sion Airport (LSGS) and, approximately 10 minutes later, impacted a mountainside near the town of Leukerbad in the Canton of Valais, Switzerland.
